Life of Muhammad
Surely, a Messenger has come unto you from among yourselves; grievous to him is that you should fall into trouble;
he is ardently desirous of your welfare; and to the believers he is compassionate, merciful.
(Qur'an Surah 9:128)
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca 570 AD into the tribe of Quraysh and the clan of Hāshim . At the age of 40, He received a Revelation from God through the angel Gabriel who said “Recite in the name of your Lord who creates, creates man from a clot! Recite for your lord is most generous….” ( Surah 96:1-3)
Over the course of the next 23 years, the Noble Qur'an was revealed. Muhammad faced intense opposition and suffered greatly at the hands of His enemies. His life is a testimony to the power and sovereignty of God. The Qur'an is the undeniable proof that nothing whatsoever can hinder the mighty Hand of God from bestowing upon mankind His unfailing guidance.
He died in Medina 632 AD.
